Music from The Nutcracker

I had the privilege of performing Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” with the Australian Ballet in 2024. Two gorgeous pieces of music stayed with me, and I have arranged them for brass band.

The famous Pas de Deux, showing what Tchaikovsky can do with a simple major scale, featuring the Euphoniums expressive upper register.

Simply titled Scene no. 8, this work has a beautiful melody that begins in the horn section, and blossoms into a perfect climax.
